Mileage Club |
What is Mileage Club?
The Mileage Club meets at the LPES track between the playgrounds. Students will walk or jog and club leaders will tally the number of laps completed by each student. The goal of this club is to enjoy some moderate athletic activity before school and for students to set and celebrate personal goals.
Students are required to wear sneakers and to bring a water bottle to the club. If a student isn't in sneakers, they will not be able to walk/run. Instead, they can cheer for the students and/or assist the club leader(s).
When does the Mileage Club meet?
We will meet Tuesday mornings at 8:30 AM from September 10, 2024 to November 19, 2024.
As a way to celebrate our mileage accomplishments, please join us at the Turkey Trot 5K Run at Apex Community Park on Saturday, November 23, 2024. For more information on how to register, see this page.
How can my student join the Mileage Club?
At this time, the Mileage Club is full for Fall 2024. Please keep checking back for news of new club offerings. We are considering having another round in the Spring!
Parents are welcome to join us!
Please stay and enjoy the club - feel free to join the students walking and jogging around the track, or help to keep count of laps with the parent volunteers. We look forward to seeing you!
