The Laurel Park Robotics Club is a year-long club that combines Lego and programing to create and compete robotics missions. The club is open to students in grades 2-5 and is funded by the PTA and coached by parent-led volunteers.
FIRST® LEGO® League
The first half of the year, kids are introduced to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through First Lego League- which is a guided, global robotics program helping students experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics. We have 1 FLL competition team where we compete against other FLL clubs throughout the State. Lego Sumo Bot During the 2nd half of the year, kids shift their focus to building and planning out a Lego Sumobot to compete at the end of year Sumobot competition. If you have any questions or would like to come see what the club is working on, please contact Kate at [email protected]. |
