Accepting Imperfection
To participate:
What happens next:
Key Dates for 2023-24:
- Create an original work of art around the theme "Accepting Imperfection". Your creation can be any form that you wish: dance, film, literature, music composition, photography, or visual arts.
- Make sure your artwork follows the general guidelines for submission, like file type, length of video, etc. Check out the guidelines for each art form here.
- Write your artist's statement. This should explain your creation and how it relates to this year's theme (maximum 100 words). This should be in your voice, and it is just as important in judging as the art itself.
- Submit your artwork via our Google Form by October 21, 2024.

What happens next:

- The winning submissions from each category will be passed to Wake County PTA for judging at the County level, and from there, may also be considered at the State and National level. National winners can receive scholarships, including a $800 Young Artist Scholarship!
- All submissions will be included in an exhibition at the LPES Steam Night and each artist will be recognized.
